Log Home Solution Overview

The development of the Log Home Solution began when a request was made by a log home manufacturer. As time has gone by, more and more companies showed interest in a solution which helps them draw a log home, create the side views of the log walls in the building, and streamlines the manufacturing process as well. Since every company uses different technology, Graphisoft developed a solution, which can be customized to the different needs.  The items in the Log Home Solution are not for one particular company as it has been edited to include a variety of features from our existing Log Home Companies. The Log Home Solution allows the user to select a log from the types and sizes available (customized), specify the height of the wall, place openings into the walls at desired heights and create the corners of the log walls. There are two prime reasons for using natural logs in construction. Also, we will be able to give a unique name to the walls, generate the side views of them showing the log stacking and cut the logs into desirable lengths either manually or automatically.

Log Home Designer Kit

The Log Home Designer Kit allows a designer to use the functionality of the Log Home Solution. It will allow the following features:

• Place the LHS Menu within the ArchiCAD Software
• Place Log Walls and Beams in an ArchiCAD Model
• Use the Log Library Parts in the model
• Automatically cross corners of a log strucuture with one click from LHS menu
• Place notches on the ends of logs
